What Week Do Complications In Pregnancy Reduce ?

When a woman gets pregnant, she hopes that she does not get any complications. However, something or the other is bound to happen but most complications are minor and are no reason to worry about. They gradually disappear with most complications finally coming to an end at the end of nine months when the baby is born.

So, in what week do complications in pregnancy reduce? This question does not have one single answer as different complications and issues reduce or disappear at different time. Here are some of the most common complications in pregnancy along with when they tend to reduce.

- Morning sickness is part and parcel of pregnancy and most women experience in the first trimester of pregnancy. Morning sickness is worse when the woman wakes up and tends to ease up as the day progresses. Morning sickness usually reduces or disappears by the beginning of second trimester.

- Linea nigra is a dark vertical line at the center of the abdomen that most women get in the second and third trimester. This line usually disappears after the birth of the child and is caused due to pregnancy hormones.

- Many women get dark patches on the faces, especially on the cheeks, forehead and neck. These patches are known as mask of pregnancy and disappear or reduce after childbirth.

- As the body prepares for the imminent childbirth, certain hormones are released to soften the tissues of the body for delivery. This can cause nose congestion and swelling of the nasal tissue. This condition disappears after the baby is born.

-  Shortness of breath is very pronounced in the third trimester because the baby presses against the diaphragm and lungs. As time for labor draws close, shortness of breath eases and reduces tremendously since the baby changes its position in the uterus.

- Vaginal discharge is normal during pregnancy as it protects the fetus and the mother from infection. This vaginal discharge may be tinged with blood but the level of discharge returns to normal after the baby is born.
